Hayley Mitchell of Ruby Recycled creates adorable hand cut cards that peek through to a swatch of color. They’re made on eco cards too. I love the florals behind the horse!

It is amazing what you can create with repurposed materials and a bit ofimagination! MODA botanica put together five storage crates, graffiti included, and filled the otherwise listless urban rectangles with soft and lovely florals and succulents. The mix of rusty metal with lush flowers was just perfect…and won them Best in Show at the Philadelphia Flower Show this past weekend!

Here’s a great tutorial on how to make a fabric stitched postcard quite simply. Nothing is better than being the recipient of an interesting and tactile note that you can tell took some time and thought from the sender!

Photograph taken Christmas morning in front of my house. Drops on Willow Branches
As the current year comes to a close, and a new year begins, may we strive to remember what is most important in life ……
to be respectful
to be compassionate
to be open
….. and to love.
