I am a big supporter of Highland Hall Waldorf School in Northridge, CA and they recently had a May Pole Dance to celebrate Spring. Colorful ribbons are artfully wound around the May Pole by the children weaving themselves in and out of each other. The first picture is the 2nd grade class and the higher the grade, the more complicated the “weave,” which is why the 3rd grade class below looks more intricate. Such a fun and colorful tradition for both the children and the onlookers!
