Apple Pudding

1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 t cinnamon
1 t nutmeg
1 t baking powder
1 beaten egg
4-6 large apples, thinly sliced
2 T butter
1/4 cup water

Sift dry ingredients. Add egg and mix well.
Spread apples in 8x8" pan and cover with first mixture.
Sprinkle with spices and 2 T additional white sugar and some brown sugar.
Dot with butter...sprinkle with water.
Bake at 350 until apples are cooked and top is slightly brown about 45 minutes
Serves 6-8.
