Aioli

Quinoa has a better protein value than most grains and is perfect for those who need more protein, such as pregnant or nursing mothers.

1/2 cup mayonnaise or vegenaise
3 to 5 crushed garlic cloves
1 tsp. lemon juice
Broccoli flowerets
Onion wedges
Baby Carrots
Zucchini slices
Green Pepper slices
Green Beans
Any other favorite vegetable


Steam the vegetables. Keep them separate from each other. To make the Aioli: Mix 1/2 cup mayonnaise or vegenaise with a 3 to 5 crushed garlic cloves and a 1 tsp. lemon juice. Mix well. Adjust to taste. Optional: Simmer pieces of stew meat or sauté steak. Cut into bite size strips and serve with the vegetables and aioli. Serve aioli in a small bowl in the center of a large plate. Lay each of the steamed vegetables (and beef) in piles around the plate. Serve with a lettuce salad and a loaf of crusty bread.
