Dear Naomi, I have had 2 miscarriages in the last 4 months and I have a 6 y/o daughter. I don't think I can handle the stress and pain of another pregnancy and loss, but am worried about my daughter being an only child. What is your opinion about having only 1 child?
Dear mother of one child,
There is nothing wrong with having one child. I know adults who say that being an only child was the best blessing in their life. There is no way to orchestrate life. The best is to fall in love with the way it is.
That said, you may want to write to Canadian Midwife Gloria Lemay:

With Gloria’s guidance, women who had a few miscarriages, have carried a pregnancy full term. She has a clear idea of the reason and the cure.
If your decision is final to not try another pregnancy, then enjoy your daughter and know that all paths are as they should be. Enjoy the freedoms that having one child allow you
and move with life, only forward.
Warmly, Naomi Aldort, www.AuthenticParent.com
