Wooden fruits and vegetables?

Does anyone know where to find wooden fruit and vegetable toys? My parents have a few old wooden vegetables with velcro that can be cut with a wooden "knife". Ds loves them and I'm looking to find something similar. All I've seen so far are wooden food kits that include pizza and such things. TIA.

I know that the Melissa and Doug brand makes wooden cutting food. Toys R Us just started selling it around here, as well as Borders bookstores and the local Parent-Teacher store. I'm sure you can find it online if you do a search for Melissa and Doug wooden toys.

I found those exact velcro foods at our local TJMaxx. They also had the same ones at a huge hobby place we have here. If you have a hobby type store (ie model trains, rc cars, doll houses, etc) near you, I would check it out.

I believe that you can order the cutable wooden fruits and veggies at Magic Cabin!

Namaste!

Also try Cost Plus / World market. They sell them there, as well.

I also got mine at TJMaxx or Marshalls...don't remember which. I was pleasantly surprised to find decent toys there, and it was only about $15 for a nice set--carrot, zucchini, 2 types of bread, apple, pepper, tomato, cutting board and the wooden knife. They're dd's favorite toys.

Three sister's toys has some very nice looking wooden veggies that I've been meaning to get a few of, too--I plan to pick some up for Christmas to add to dd's collection:

I think hearthsong also had some in their catalog, last time I checked.

I got mine at Toys R Us. It's made by Melissa & David. There's a wooden box filled with various fruits, veggies, and bread to cut with 2 different wooden knives on 2 wooden cutting boards. I bought ours at the end of July, so it was pretty recent; I think I paid $14.99, but it might have been on sale.

Thank you for the suggestions and links. I'm going to have fun picking wooden foods for ds and I'm sure he'll enjoy them.

Brio Plan Toys have a veggie set - about $9.50 at the surplus store...

This place has LOTS of Brio Plan toys - pretty cheap too.
